A video to show the construction and finished scheme including drone footage of the embankment and flood storage area.
Pontarddulais Flood Scheme involved the construction of a flood storage reservoir upstream of the town of Pontarddulais, north-west of Swansea, South Wales.
The town of Pontarddulais, north-west of Swansea, has previously flooded in 1947, 1963 and 1979, 2008 and 2016. Natural Resources Wales, with funding from Welsh Government constructed a Flood Storage Reservoir upstream of Pontarddulais. This was completed in 2019.
This £6m scheme provides a 1 in 100 year standard of protection (1% chance of flooding in any year) to 224 houses and 22 commercial properties in Pontarddulais.
