English: From the courtyard, foto of old Baroque north gate "Oudemannenhuis", Haarlem. Not an original doorway, but moved here from the old Frans Hals Museum location at the Haarlem City Hall. For three centuries it was the entryway for the school there called the "Gymnasium". When the museum moved in 1913 to the present location, the doorway moved with it, but the school remained behind. A new entryway for the old school has been built in the Jacobijnestraat with the same text above the doorway, with the lines of the Greek poet Theocritus from his 16th idyll "The Graces": ΕΚ ΜΟΙΣΑΝ ΑΓΑΘΟΝ ΚΛΕΟΣ / CURIA TEMPLA SCHOLAE FLORENT UBICUNQUE IUVENTUS / INVIGILAT MUSIS RELLIGIONIS AMANS
