English: Arms of Chequy or and gules, a chief vair. On parapet of east side. Chichester, for Sir Arthur Chichester, 3rd Baronet (d.1717), of Youlston Park, Shirwell, MP for Barnstaple, who in 1689 sold his family's ancient seat of Raleigh, Pilton, close to Barnstaple, and built Youlston Park. The family was in the 17th century lord of the manor of Barnstaple Castle (or "Castle Court"). His daughter Susanna Chichester was the second wife of Henry Incledon
