Description

Men of the Day No. 869: Caricature of Chang Ta-Jen.
Caption read "China in London".

Accompanying text read : "Just 55 years ago the most congenial of Chinese diplomats was born in Peking. Fortunately for him and the world in general, his parents took a juster and more reasonable view of what education means than is commonly held by sons of Han... His adventures in London have been chronicled in a gossipping diary; which he published, unfortunately, in Chinese."
