For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. ADN-ZB-Thieme 17.11.1980 -Bez. Karl-Marx-Stadt: Jubiläum hat in diesen Wochen ein Erzeugnis, das vor 100 Jahren unter dem Begriff Plauener Spitze weltweit bekannt wurde. Im modernen VEB Plauener Spitze arbeitet Ursula Weidenmüller an dieser Stickmaschine mit einer Arbeitsbreite von zweimal 13,5 Metern. Hier entstehen hochwertige gestickte Gardinen. Auch Spitzentaschentücher und modische Spitze für Damenoberbekleidung gehören zur Produktionspalette des Betriebes, dessen Erzeugnisse heute in über 40 Ländern der Erde gefragt sind. |
