Summary

Description
English: Blackbrough hill fort View towards Cheviot from the ramparts of the hill fort. Within the fort are faint traces of a palisaded enclosure but little evidence for long occupation. Elements of the single surrounding bank and ditches have led some archaeologists to suggest that the fort was never finished. The shape of the hill with steep slopes on three sides makes it a commanding lofty viewpoint.
