Summary

Description St Michael and All Angels Church, Beckwithshaw, North Yorkshire, England. Close-up of right-hand light of stained glass window, 1892. "The first (left, not shown here) light of the north-west window portrays the angel with his right foot on the sea and the left on the earth. In his hand is a little book containing the message he was about to deliver. The second light (right, shown above) depicts the angel with the key of the Bottomless Pit in one hand and a great chain in the other. Laid at his feet is the Dragon whom he has subdued and whom he is about to cast into the Bottomless Pit." - Quotation from Pannal Parish magazine, 1892.
