English: The picture shows the uprising of sailors on the battleship "Prince Potemkin-Tavrichesky" in 1905. The picture consists of five acts: "Men and Worms", "Drama the the Harbour", "A Dead Man Calls for Justice", "The Odessa Staircase" and "The Meeting with Squadron". The Battleship Potemkin, directed by S. M. Eisenstein, continues to be one of the most significant works of Russian and world cinema.
