Elba Island is an island in the Detroit River.[2] It is in Wayne County, in southeast Michigan. Its coordinates are 42°06′09″N 83°08′51″W / 42.10250°N 83.14750°W,[1] and the United States Geological Survey gave its elevation as 591 ft (180 m) in 1980.[1] Numerous types of fish spawn at the island, including northern pike,[3]: 10 goldfish,[3]: 11 carp,[3]: 13 minnow,[3]: 17 channel catfish,[3]: 19 bullhead catfish,[3]: 19 white bass,[3]: 22 and white crappie.[3]: 25
