ZooKeys is a peer-reviewed open access scientific journal covering zoological taxonomy, phylogeny, and biogeography. The scientific journal’s focus is to use the newest trends and policies in the publication of automated tools to exceed the existing standards of the cybertaxonomy era. The journal publishes papers devoted to systemic zoology that includes data on the scientific classification of organisms including animals and flora. This includes information of species from any part of the world, with no limits implied. In addition to taxonomy publications, ZooKeys produce other taxon-based teachings such as ecology, paleontology, behavioral science, genomics, and more. It was established in 2008 and the editor-in-chief is Terry Erwin (Smithsonian Institution). Now, ZooKeys has an extensive editorial board, including members across the world with credentials from several scientific establishments, including the Smithsonian Institution. It is published by Pensoft Publishers.
