Zinnia is a planner and journal application [1] developed by Pixite Inc. Its uses include digital planning, bullet journaling, scrapbooking, online notetaking. [2][3] Zinnia has a freemium pricing model. Its free version has a limited number of pages, features, and content. Zinnia is available digitally on iPad, iPhone and macOS platforms.[4]
History
editPixite released Zinnia in February 2020, four years after a company revenue crisis and repositioning. [5] Zinnia was welcomed by the online and analog digital planning community as a unique platform for creativity. [6] [7]
Features and Compatability

- Zinnia is compatible with Scribble, Handoff, Split Screen, Dynamic Type, Hover, Keyboard Dictation, Voiceover Support, Live Text, iCal integration, iOS system font importer, and Widgets for iOS/Mac. [8]
- Creative Journaling : In the digital planning landscape, Zinnia is known for its creative Studio and tools. [9] [10]. It is the only planning platform that includes unlimited digital creative content (eg. journal cards, washi, stickers) in its subscription. [11] It was featured among "Apple Event" May 7, 2024 new products.[12]
- Productivity : Zinnia users include bullet journalers who use indexes, trackers, and scannable images to set up visual planners. These journals include calendars, stickers, toolkits, and other customization protocols. [13] [14] Calendar linking was introduced in 2023. In early 2024, Zinnia added auto-date calendars (quick-fill, template-ready, reusable features).
