Yevhen Liaschenko (Ukrainian: Євген Лященко, born 1974) is a Ukrainian businessman, currently сhairman of the Board of Ukrainian Railways, the state-owned joint-stock company administering railway infrastructure and rail transport in Ukraine.[1] He was appointed on 23 March 2023.[2]
Before heading Ukrainian Railways (Ukrzaliznytsia), he had more than 25 years of experience in anti-crisis management and business transformation in various fields: FMCG, logistics, commercial real estate, mechanical engineering, oil and gas, media business.
Measures initiated and implemented with the participation of Yevhen Lyashchenko in the financial, organizational and IT spheres allowed the railway to maintain stable operation during the full-scale invasion, to avoid problems with payment of salaries to employees, and to significantly strengthen humanitarian support for the army and the civilian population.
Сurrently, the manager of the largest state-owned company in Ukraine consistently implements the task of bringing the company to break-even, eradicating corruption, and further transforming the railway due to modern challenges and European requirements. Ukrainian Railways continuously expands international passenger and freight transportation routes, restores railway infrastructure destroyed by the Russian enemy, implements a barrier-free program, improves service and safety of railway traffic.[1]
