Because explaining the bowling ball article from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, in a gravely, stereotypical Japanese accent, will ruin your vocal chords and make your throat extremely sore.

Throat Soreness

The reason this occurs is because when you try to be extremely deep, and gravely, you cause a large amount of vocal fry.
