Westrup ApS is a Danish-based company that designs, manufactures, and handles equipment made for cleaning and sorting seed and grain. The assortment of machines includes pre-cleaners, fine cleaners, length separators, gravity separators, seed treaters and more, and range from small-scale machines from 20 kg. to machines with a capacity of up to 400 t/h in wheat. Westrup manufacturers all machines in Slagelse, Denmark, and has customers on all continents.
Westrup is led by CEO Bo Borne Jørgensen with approximately 100 employees located in Denmark, Germany, France, Kazakhstan, Australia, and USA.
History:
1958: Westrup was founded by the brothers Knud and Troels Westrup under the name Westrup Maskinfabrik A/S. The brothers had years of experience with machine design and manufacturing.
1983: Westrup was purchased by the Swedish company Kamas, with whom Westrup had worked closely for many years.
1987: the American office was open in Texas.
1993: four local investors founded the company Westrup Holding A/S. At the same time Westrup acquired the local black smith company PL Hansen and the year after Westrup acquired MICA, a producer of industrial augers.
1994: Westrup opened in France and Germany.
2006: John Fowler, India, acquired 50% of Westrup A/S, and in 2008 the remaining 50% of Westrup A/S was purchased by the Indian company.
2010’s: offices in Hungary, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, and China were established – many of which are now handled by local dealers.
2022: Westrup changed its name to Westrup ApS. The same year Westrup took all production of a Swedish seed treating companies’ activities inhouse under the name Norogard x Westrup.
Today Westrup ApS is part of the Fowler Westrup group of companies.
