Helen Ursula Karen Walsh (9th Sept. 1944 – 24th June 2023) can be a lead-in to the subject's popular name was an Irish artist, art lecturer at Limerick School of Art and Design and founding member of EVA International. Born in Cork in 1944, she lived most of her life in Limerick and Clare. In 1978, she married Irish artist Samuel Walsh. In 1977, with other Limerick colleagues, she founded EVA International[1]. She was a member of the Teachers Union of Ireland and a committee member of the National Women's Council of Ireland.

Walsh married Samuel Walsh in August, 1978, three years after the birth of their son Tady in October, 1975. Their second child Aoife, was born in December, 1980 and their third, Esther, was born in June, 1982.

In December 2022, Walsh was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer and passed away as a result of the disease on 24th June, 2023[3].
