Submission declined on 14 February 2024 by DoubleGrazing (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of music-related topics). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). It has been suggested that this page be merged into Tors (band). (Discuss) Proposed since March 2024. |
Tors are a 3 piece harmonic indie band from Devon, UK - comprised of brothers Matt and Theo Weedon and Jack Bowden.
The band released their latest EP Anything Can Happen in 2023 and have signed a deal with Glassnote Records. Their new songs are rich in harmonies, focus on colourful storytelling and rip at those all too relatable heartstrings.
In June 2023, they went on a successful sold out headline tour across the UK before playing a sold out headline show at New York’s Rockwood Music Hall in July. In the middle of this, their single “Amsterdam” became BBC Radio One’s Introducing Track of the Week, making one of their dreams come true. They also made it onto BBC Radio 2’s playlist and slid into the top 100 airplay in Germany.
In 2024, Tors will embark on a major 28-date arena tour of mainland Europe as main support to James Blunt. This run of shows previews new music which was recorded in Woodstock with Simone Felice (The Lumineers, Noah Kahan, Vance Joy). The tour with James Blunt will see Tors closing in on their mission to craft “intimate, personal songs written to be played in stadiums”, having played other big gigs with artists including Sam Ryder, Freya Ridings, Cian Ducrot and Tom Walker.
