Tiffany Anne Ablan Reyes (born September 24, 2010) is a Filipino basketball player who plays guard and forward for De La Salle Zobel High School in the Philippines.
Early life
editTiffany was born in the Medical City in Ortigas, Pasig City and lives in Sucat, Muntinlupa City. She is the daughter of former University of the Philippines (UP) Fighting Maroons and Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) center Jay-R Reyes[1] and her mother is former UP volleyball player Jen Ablan-Reyes. She is the younger sister of Tyler Reyes who plays for De La Salle Zobel (DLSZ) in the Philippines.
She showed signs of interest in basketball as early as 3 years old with the influence of his father and grew up watching him play in the pro league.
Career
editConsidered tall for a girl her age at 5’10 (178cm) Tiffany is often compared to her dad who plays inside. When she plays on court, many found guard skills surprising as she can run the floor and has good handles for her size and age. She can shoot from deep and is also good at attacking the rim.
She actually plays in teams where she is one, if not the youngest players in the roster. She is part of DLSZ Class of 2028 and she plays for the Jr. Lady Archers in the WNCAA 18U and Muntinlupa Division meet 18U, even though she is only 13. Tiffany plays for team Muntinlupa in the NCR Palaro 18U.
She also played in the Young Queenz 3x3 14U and was selected the MVP and Champion of the tournament. She joined the British School Manila (BSM) Basketball Tournament 15U and the Inter Scholastic Sports Association (ISAA) 14U Division.
Internationally, she played in the 2024 Asia Pacific Invitational Tournament 14U and was awarded as the Best Player/ Clutch Sportsmanship Award and was also selected in the 2023 Arizona Select Basketball (UA Circuit future 14U).
In May 2024, Tiffany was selected to be part of the Gilas Pilipinas Women’s U18 National Team to compete in Thailand for the SEABA Qualifiers of the FIBA U18 Women’s Asia Cup. She was the youngest in the roster at only 13 years old. She contributed most particularly in defense and hustle and scoring on outside shots. In their final game against Indonesia, she sank multiple three-point shots in the game finishing with 9 points, all coming from behind the arc as the team’s second highest scorer[2]. The team swept the tournament against to qualify to the Division B of FIBA U18 Women’s Asia Cup in China.
