Thomas L. Mellen (June 10, 1849 – ?) was a lawyer and state legislator in Mississippi.He represented Adams County in the Mississippi House of Representatives.

He edited Life and Labors of the Rev. William Hamilton Watkins published by the Southern Methodist Publishing House in Nashville.[1]

William Pepperill Mellen (W. P. Mellen) moved from New Hampshire to Mississippi and edited and published the Natchez which became the Courier.[2]

T. L. Mellen studied at the Natchez Institute.[2] He was active in the Methodist Church.[2] He served as a postmaster during the Civil War.[2]
