The Golden Antlers is an undergraduate satirical newspaper founded in 1888 by students of The Claremont Colleges in Claremont, California.

The Golden Antlers (known colloquially as GA) is a satirical newspaper at The Claremont Colleges[1]. The paper was established in 1888 by student Clancy Tripp and is the oldest written publication on the Claremont College campuses. They write and publish comedic articles about the campuses and world events.

In 2021, the paper faced legal charges from several of The Claremont Colleges (Pomona College, Claremont McKenna College, and Harvey Mudd College) for shirts they created with logos mocking the schools’ own logos. Mimicking official college merchandise shirts (“CMC Mom,” “Scripps Grandpa,” “Harvey Mudd Lego Batman”) the Golden Antlers created shirts with slogans like “CMC Virgin,” “Pomona College Stepbrother,” “Harvey Mudd Baby,” “Scripps College Interim Dean,” and “Pitzer Divorcée”.[2] CMC, Pomona, and Harvey Mudd raised legal action against the paper, forcing them to shut down sales. Scripps and Pitzer did not because their endowments were not big enough to afford a copyright bot that can flag CustomInk sale pages.[3][4][2] These shirts are still available for purchase on the Golden Antlers Instagram page.[5]
