Sweet Home was a public high school with accreditation by 1935. Before it closed in 1962, its pupils had received numerous distinctions in agriculture, athletics, and education.[1]
History
editThe school was built in 1925 by a carpenter by the name of Henry Singletary and his assistant Jesse C. Ussery. $5,500 was the total cost of construction, of which $1,100 was funded by the Rosenwald Fund.[2]
