Draft:Stuart Millward (magician)

Stuart Wayne Millward (b. 1977) is a British Magician. Fascinated by magic at an early age he became a professional magician[1] and was an owner of House of Magic UK, the UK's largest magic store having purchased the business from former owner John Milner.[2][3]

Career

edit

Millward was taught magic by John Milner at House of Magic UK, Old Quarter, Stourbridge, West Midlands. When Milner decided to sell the business, Millward purchased it in 2017.[4][5]The store became known for providing the magic community with props and books for performing as well as hosting lectures from leading magicians.[6] In 2014 Millward spearheaded a campaign and successfully stopped the local council from introducing parking permits in the Old Quarter, which would have forced local businesses to close.[7][8] Millward closed the store in 2018 and it was later reopened in 2021 by another pupil of Milner's. Millward still currently performs as a magician. [9]
