Early Life and Education Stephen Hintz was born on July 27, 1975, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to prolific author Martin Hintz and Sandy Wright, co-founder of Milwaukee Irish Fest. He grew up in the Sherman Park neighborhood of Milwaukee alongside his siblings, Dan and Kate. Hintz pursued higher education at several institutions, including the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (where he earned a B.A. in Sociology and Africology), Milwaukee Area Technical College, and the New York Film Academy. He later obtained a Master's degree in Sociology from the University of Arkansas, specializing in race and ethnicity.

Career Stephen Hintz has made significant contributions as a writer, producer, and social activist. He began his professional journey by founding the mentoring agency Peacemakers in Milwaukee. His first major foray into screenwriting was with the film script Cool Breeze. Hintz has also made a mark as a freelance travel writer and co-authored several travel guides, including The Bahamas, North Carolina, and Wisconsin: A Family Travel Guide, collaborating with his father, Martin Hintz.

Film and Television Hintz's career in film production includes executive producing the Alison Eastwood-directed film Battlecreek, starring Bill Skarsgård and Delroy Lindo. He co-wrote and co-produced the short film The Forever Tree, which premiered at Geena Davis' Bentonville Film Festival, featuring Wendell Pierce, Olivia Washington, Natalie Carter, and Rae C. Wright.
