St Vincent's College is an independent Roman Catholic K–12 comprehensive co-educational day school, located in Ashfield, an inner-western suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The college was established in 2023 as a result of the forced amalgamation of De La Salle College Ashfield, Bethlehem College and St Vincent's Primary School.[2] The foundation principal is Raymond Martin.[3]
History
editOn 8 June 2022, the college was announced and would open in 2023 to be formed through the forced amalgamation of De La Salle College Ashfield, Bethlehem College and St Vincent's Primary School, due to increasing demand for co-educational schools in inner Sydney.[4] From 2027, after a five-year transition period, the college will become a fully K–12 co-educational school precinct.[2][3]
The foundation principal is Raymond Martin.[3] Paul Forrester, the last principal of De La Salle College Ashfield, remained with the school during the first year as the Dean of Senior Years, to help with the amalgamation of the three schools.[5]
