Sir Pentious, also known as General Pentious, is a fictional character created by Vivienne "VivziePop" Medrano who appears in the musical adult animated series Hazbin Hotel as the second guest of the titular hotel. He is a snake demon who often challenges Alastor and Cherri Bomb to battle, and who has created his own set of egg minions, the Egg Boiz. He is primarily voiced by Alex Brightman.

From 2019 to 2023, Will Stamper, the voice actor of Sir Pentious in the pilot episode, would reprise his role as in a series of skits in HuniCast, a live podcastseries co-hosted by Angel Dust's pilot voice actor, Michael Kovach, and Hazbin Hotel pilot animator Ashley Nichols, often featuring the cast and crew of Hazbin Hotel and SpindleHorse Toons as guests.[1]
In the pilot of Helluva Boss, Blitzo is depicted as having a framed photo of Sir Pentious on the wall of I.M.P.

Comic Book Resources lauded Alex Brightman's "performance as Sir Pentious [as] the breakout star of ["The Show Must Go On"], not only as a character, but also as a mascot of [the] Hotel's positive influence."[2] The Illuminerdi brought attention to Brightman's "great voice acting as Sir Pentious,"[3] which IGN noted made the character "an unlikely showstopper, an adorable blend of incompetence and earnestness who makes chronic failure endearing. The poster serpent for destructive innovation, Sir Pentious is Wile E. Coyote in shedding skin." They additionally lauded his "heartfelt quest for betterment" over the course of the series.[4]

Since 2018, official clothing and merchandise based around Sir Pentious and the cast of Hazbin Hotel designed by Medrano have been available intermittently from Shark Robot LLC.[5][6]
