Raden Imam Suriamiatmaja (born 15 August 1923) is an Indonesian actress and teacher who was active in the 1950s. She is the part of Classical Indonesian cinema.

Raden Imam Suriamiatmaja was born on 15 August 1923 in Batavia, Dutch East Indies, as the eldest child and daughter to Raden Imam Suriatmadja, a Sundanese descent, and Ramelah, a Betawi descent.[1][2] She graduated from Hollandsch-Inlandsche School and Nijverheidsschool, and started to taking a sewing, cooking, and shorthand courses.[1][2]

Personal life edit

Risa is married to A. Bakar, an actor, in 1938, and has had two daughters.[2] As of 1979, she is resided at Tanah Rendah street in Central Jakarta.[1]

Career edit

Risa started her career by signing a contract with A. Bakar, an actor who later became her husband, in 1938.[2] She performed in theatre and made her film debut by starring in Bunga Rumah Makan (1951) as a lead actress.[1]
