The Republic Cup was a football competition that took place in Gozo, Malta and that was organised by the Gozo Football Association.
This competition was contested on a knock-out basis by the clubs of the Gozitan First Division and Second Division. Generally the final took place on Republic Day, that is December 13. The first Republic Cup took place in the season 1975–1976, that is the same year that Malta gained its freedom, and the last edition was held during the 1999–2000 season.
Format edit
12 clubs from the Gozitan First Division and Second Division contested the preliminary round, with the winners joining the other two clubs which received a bye into the quarter-finals.
