Draft:Quantum charge-coupled device

A quantum charge-coupled device (QCCD)[1] is an architecture for trapped-ion quantum computing where short, mobile ion chains are trapped in an array. Qubits are formed from the electronic states of the ions and interactions between qubits are mediated via the Coulomb force.
