PronunDict is a freeware pronunciation dictionary of American English[1], originally based on the data from the CMU Pronouncing Dictionary. In 2017, a review of the software was published by the website I Love Free Software[2]. Lately, it has gained reputation in the scientific area -- in 2023, it was used and referenced in the article "Computational measurement of perceived pointiness from pronunciation"[3]. Besides English, a new variant for French was released in 2024[4], which is based on the data by Le Mans University.
