Painesville Speedway is a famous racetrack in Painesville Ohio. It is notable for its figure eight racing. It opened in 1958 and has caught public attention for a long time. Many drivers have raced there including Scott Tekavic, John Moore, Red Moore, Ken Carpenter, Skip Gillis, Ronnie Burns, Russ Petro, Gary Plain, Herb Gindlesberger, Bob Brown, Jake Walker, Mike Reed, Chad Tekavic, Denver Shackelford, and more.

Painesville currently races Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, Ironman Figure Eight, Trailer Derbies, 4 Cylinder, Rising Star, and Old School Figure Eight. Painesville is often called the birthplace of figure eight racing because of its history in the series(although the real birthplace is the Indianapolis Speedrome) and is still popular today.
