Oliver Johnstone is a British stage and screen actor.

Early Life

Johnstone grew up in London.[1]

He graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 2011.[2]

He is the son of the author and documentary maker Iain Johnstone.[3][4]

Career

Johnstone has worked on stage at the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Old Vic, the Donmar, the Hampstead theatre, Shakespeare's Globe and Chichester Festival Theatre.[5]

In 2012 he appeared in the film Skyfall as Q's assistant alongside Ben Whishaw as Q.[6]

In 2014 he starred in episode of series of the ITV drama Inspector George Gently, Gently With Honour as Scott Tanner.[7] Also in 2014, he appeared in The Inbetweeners 2 as Kristian.[8]

Johnstone appeared alongside Sally Field, Bill Pullman and Jenna Coleman in Arthur Miller's All My Sons at the Old Vic theatre in 2019.[9][10]

He appeared in the 2020 film The Courier, starring Benedict Cumberbatch.

In 2022, Johnstone played the title role in Henry V at Shakespeares Globe in a co-production with Headlong.[11][12][13]

He is due to appear alongside Bel Powley in Tom Stoppard's The Real Thing at the Old Vic theatre in August 2024.[14][15][16]
