Eligibility To be eligible for admission to the MD program at Saint James School of Medicine, applicants must meet the following criteria: Educational Requirements: A bachelor’s degree or at least 90 credit hours of undergraduate coursework from an accredited institution. Completion of prerequisite courses including General Biology or Zoology, General or Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Physics. Some courses in Mathematics and English are also recommended. Admission Tests: While the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) is not mandatory for all applicants, it is highly recommended for US and Canadian students. Personal Qualities: SJSM looks for candidates who demonstrate a strong commitment to the medical profession, possess excellent communication skills, and show the ability to work well in a team environment. Leadership qualities, volunteer experience, and a genuine passion for healthcare are also valued.
