Nerea Gourlaouen, known as Nerea the Fiddler, is an international entertainer. Born in the USA and raised in Canada, Gourlaouen plays folk fiddle and stepdances. She has performed in 4 continents and released her first album in 2008, Footprints. [1]She has been nominated for a Young Artist of the Year Award at the Canadian Folk Music Awards. Nerea's music is based from folk and Celtic traditions from Cape Breton Island (where she was raised), but also influenced by her many travels around the globe and her parents who are from Spain, and France. Gourlaouen currently resides in the USA, but continues to travel the world performing and teaching her music.[2][3]
