- Comment: Please read the golden rule to better understand what kinds of references are needed to show notability. While that essay is not policy, it links to multiple policies and gives a very brief explanation of them. HEre's my assessment of your citations: Ref #1 is a passing mention, not significant coverage. Ref #2 is a YouTube video, which is not a reliable source. Mike James has published twenty collections of poetry and is the current Poet laureate of Murfreesboro, TN.[1] James' poetry does not fall into a single genre as he has published works of ghazals, free verse, sonnets, as well as prose about pop culture icons like Burt Reynolds and Marilyn Monroe.[2]
Marriage and children edit
James is married and has five children with his spouse and high school sweetheart, Diane. James has lived across the country including Pittsburgh, PA, Atlanta, GA and most recently Murfreesboro.[3]
Career edit
James began writing poetry at age 15, however, his earliest written and published poem is from his college days at Winthrop University, published in Tar River Poetry.[4]
James was an associate editor of The Kentucky Review and published Yellow Pepper Press with his wife.[5]
James' work has been featured in numerous poetry journals such as Poets & Writer's Magazine,[6]The American Poetry Review[7] and Trailer Park Quarterly.[8] His work has been referenced in other poet's work as well.[9]
