Michael Alaimo is an American football quarterback for the Kent State Golden Flashes. He previously played for the Purdue Boilermakers.
Early life and high school edit
Alaimo grew up in Montvale, New Jersey and attended Saint Joseph Regional High School. During high school, he completed 205 out of 362 passing attempts for 2,777 yards and 23 touchdowns. He was rated a four-star recruit and was ranked No. 12 by 247Sports and ESPN and No. 16 by Rivals.com.[1] Alaimo committed to play college football at Purdue over offers from Michigan State, Boston College, California, Central Michigan, Cincinnati, Columbia, Kansas, UMass, North Carolina, Oklahoma State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Temple, Tulane, West Virginia and Yale.[2][3][4]

Alaimo did not play during his true freshman season in 2020. During the 2021 season, he appeared in one game against UConn. During the 2022 season, he appeared in three games and finished the season with completing 9 out of 18 passing attempts for 74 yards.[5]
On January 10, 2023, Alaimo announced that he was entering the transfer portal.[6][7] On May 23, 2023, he announced that he would be transferring to Kent State.[8]
Kent State edit
During the 2023 season, Alaimo was named as the starting quarterback.[9] He finished his debut game with the Golden Flashes against UCF with 145 passing yards and 23 rushing yards.[10]
