Menghang Wu is a dancer and scholar. She holds a Ph.D. in dance studies from Ohio State University, and her dissertation is Performing Objects. Her research interests span Dance Studies, Performance Studies, Critical Theory, Object Oriented Philosophy, Science and Technologies Studies, Eco-criticism, Sound Studies, and Chinese Dunhuang Dance (敦煌舞). She teaches ballet, contemporary dance, Chinese dance, composition, and dance/performance theory at the Ohio State University, National Ballet of China School, Hebei University, and Peking University. She is the winner of the 2022 Nordic Forum for Dance Research Emerging Scholar Fellowship, the 2023 Asian Association of Performance Emerging Scholar Award, and the 2024 Dance Studies Association Grad Conference Travel Award.
