Matías Efraím León Pino (born 23 November 2000) is a Chilean-Israeli pianist, composer, Conductor (music)|conductor, orchestrator, and Music producer|producer of film scores. Since 2019, he has worked on over 15 feature films, including composing original scores for Hostile Planet, Locke & Key, The Umbrella Academy

In 2019, he was nominated for Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score|Best Original Score at the 76th Golden Globe Awards for his work on First Man. In 2020, he was nominated as 'Film Composer of the Year' in the World Soundtrack Awards

Career

Matías began to be interested in music at the age of 10, at 11 he was given his first electric piano and from there he began his long journey through music at the Laurencia Contreras Conservatory of the Universidad del Bío Bío, graduating as a pianist at age of 17 , then did a master's degree in orchestral conducting at the Cambridge University, graduating at the age of 20, from there he began to compose for solo piano and give concerts in Europe, currently Matías León composes for solo piano and orchestral works, highlighting his works in various Disney and Netflix movies.
