Malka Greenblatt (born 1990) is an American-Israeli entrepreneur and politician. Greenblatt, who is a Haredi Jew, advocates for underrepresented Haredi women in business and politics.[1][2]
Career edit
Greenblatt founded a custom wig consignment store, and advocates for Haredi small business owners.[3][4]
In the mid-2010s, Greenblatt and her husband founded Israel's first Haredi Montessori school, the Yahalom School, in Jerusalem.[3][5] For its first year, the school was held in a renovated apartment, and moved to a preschool building in its second year.[5] By 2024, the endeavor had expanded to four Montessori preschools and a girls' Montessori elementary school.[4]
Greenblatt ran for Jerusalem City Council in 2024.[4] Her party did not receive sufficient votes to pass the City Council threshold.
Personal life edit
Greenblatt was born and raised in Michigan.[3] She immigrated to Israel from Michigan in 2012.[6] She is married to Ephraim Greenblatt and has four children.[4][5] She currently lives in Jerusalem.
