Prof. Rabbani has emerged as the most popular choice, voted with 61 votes after the AMU court meeting held on 6 November 2023. He is anticipated to become the next Vice-Chancellor of the Aligarh Muslim University.[3]
The AMU Court in its special meeting cleared a panel consisting of three names after a voting process in which Rabbani received the highest number of votes (61) among the five candidates that were recommended by the AMU Executive Council.[4]
