Leyton Orient, a professional soccer club located in East London have an active women's organisation which includes both competitive matches in the Greater London Women's Football League (GLWFL) - Premier division and a youth team currently playing in the Warriors Group in the JPL (Junior premier league). The current women's group dates from 2021 at which time they replaced the previous franchise arrangement where the women's team were administered by an external body and only used the Leyton Orient name for sponsorship/marketing purposes. This arrangement was ceased by the club in 2021 which required the new Leyton Orient women's team to start at the bottom of the UK national hierarchy at the GLWFL division two (north). This team gained two successive promotions to move up to GLWFL division one and then, in 2022/23 to the GLWFL premier division.
The senior team play their home games at the ground of Buckhurst Hill F.C. located in Roding Lane, Buckhurst Hill, Essex. From time to time, when circumstances allow, they play at the Gaughan stadium, the home of Leyton Orient, at Brisbane road, Leyton, London E10. The under-eighteens team play their home games at Loughton High School, Loughton, Essex.
The women's teams enjoy professional coaching from the club's staff and are supported by way of sponsorship by international real estate company Eastdil Secured.
