Starting with lead management, the company explored the challenges encountered by businesses in converting a prospect to a customer following which they created customizable solutions to suit different industries.

The company, initially bootstrapped and with limited resources, closed FY17 at ₹19 crores. Jyoti Bansal invested in LeadSquared in 2017 as an angel investor. In 2019,[2] the company raised Series A funding of $33 mln led by Stakeboat Capital and Jyoti Bansal.[3] LeadSquared closed 2019 at ₹33 crores.[4]

The next round, Series B of $32 mln, led by private equity player Gaja Capital, also saw participation from Stakeboat Capital and Bansal in 2020.[4] During this time, LeadSquared helped businesses digitize their process to support a remote workforce during the COVID pandemic.

With this funding, they aim to facilitate market expansion in India and North America, while focusing on the APAC and EMEA markets.[3][9] They introduced Service Cloud, a helpdesk and customer support system, ACE and a sales performance suite, SIERA to help businesses with reporting and analytics.[10]
