Konkō Daijin (金光大神) was a founder of Konkokyo, a Sect Shinto group.[1][2][3][4]
Denomination | Founder | Founding date | Date of Independence | believers[5] | Priests[5] | Shrines and churches[5] |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Konkokyo | Kinko Ogami | November 15, 1859[6] | June 1900 | 397,461 | 3,521 | 1,484 |
- Utopian groups are Kurozumikyō, Tenrikyo, and Konkokyo.[7]
Tenrikyo is now classified by the Agency for Cultural Affairs as one of the various religions, not as a Shinto denomination.
