Career edit

While attending Etobicoke School of the Arts, Weyman began his television acting career on Degrassi: The Next Generation. After working in various supporting roles on Toronto based television shows, including the popular sitcom Life With Derek, [1] Weyman began to turn his attention toward creating his own music and film under the name Kit Knows. After creating music videos for himself as a rapper, he directed the debut music video for his sister [2], Raffaela Weyman, also known as her stage name RALPH. His first short film WAYS TO WATER marked his narrative debut as a director, and premiered at the Canadian Film Fest in 2017, and was awarded the Coup De Coeur at Telefilm's Not Short on Talent at the Cannes Short Film Corner. [3] In 2020, after frequent collaborations with Toronto/Nigerian artist Tobi, Weyman directed the video for 24 (Toronto Remix),[4] catching the attention of Director X and Taj Critchlow, who signed him to the directing roster at their newly launched production company Fela. [5] Weyman has also worked behind the camera with fellow Degrassi alumni Drake [6]. His work looks to frame the current cultural renaissance in Toronto, and building the mythology of the city.
