Back when Jaylen was a younger kid being in the NBA was the only thing he set his mind to. Jaylen would start organized basketball during the 6th grade. He would try out for the 7th grade team and not make the cut. Just 1 year later he would try out for the 8th grade team and played a full season with the Emge Eagles. Jaylen did not play very much but it was consistently that mattered to him. He states on his Roku TV livestream, "It was my confidence. I could ball out any gym, at any park, even in gym class. But once I stepped out on the court in front of all those people watching, and in front of all those guys on the team watching me, my teammates on the court, I don’t know I just kind of didn’t like it. I feel like if I had the confidence now like I did then I could’ve definitely went further than I did." After his 8th grade season he would go into high school with something to prove. Trying out for the 9th grade team he would be cut after 3 days of tryouts. Going into the 10th grade Jaylen made the choice to show up to tryouts the 1st day and cut the tryouts on the 2nd day. This day may have been the day to change everything around for Jaylen, because he has been serious with content creating every since. "It is ironic." Williams states, "I hated hooping in front a crowd of around 30-50 people if that. But for some reason now I can fight in front of 4000 people in person and around 70,000 live viewers on tv."
