After studying a BA in English and Theatre studies at Manchester Metropolitan University, Kim was awarded a full scholarship by the Eve Brook Scholarship Fund, which is run by British playwright David Edgar, to undertake her Masters in Classical Theatre.

Kim is an ambassador for the Eve Brook Scholarship fund; fundraising, making speeches, promoting and designing their Christmas Cards which raise money for the charity.

In 2018, Kim started to write her first full length play The Big O; a semi auobiographical play influenced by Kim's own experience with Anorgasmia, sexual violence and mental health, as well as recovery and connection. The play was well recieved and critically acclaimed during it's debut tour in 2023. Kim recieved the inaugral John Rouse Award in light of her outstanding achievement.
