Karampon Little Flower's Girls' Maha Vidyalayam (also known as Little Flower School and Little Flower Convent [1]) is a provincial school in Karampon, Kayts, Jaffna District, Sri Lanka.[2][3][4][5]
History
editThere was a Roman Catholic school near the St. Sebastian Church which has more than 200 years old history and looks majestically at the centre of Karampon.[6]
Currently that Roman Catholic school has grown into Little Flower's Girls' Maha Vidyalayam and contributing to the girls education for several years. This is the only girls school in the Kayts Island. Holly Family Sisters are the main cause for the development of the school.[6]
Sports
editIn provincial-level PT competition, the Little Flower School became the champion in the girls' category.[7]
Other activities
edit- Karampon Little Flower School was listed in 2020 as an Unicef funded Child Frendly school.[8]
- Karampon Little Flower School participated at the "Educational Training on Clean Energy Technologies (CETs) Programme" (funded by Royal Norwegian Embassy in Colombo).[9]

editKarampon Little Flower Past Pupils of Canada is an active association and they used to organise "Karampon Little Flower School Night" in Toronto.[12]
