"Johnny Feelgood" is a song by American singer-songwriter Liz Phair from her third studio album Whitechocolatespaceegg (1998). It was released as the second single from the album on January 19th, 1999, by Matador and Capitol Records.
Background
edit"Johnny Feelgood" was initially selected as the lead single from Whitechocholatespaceegg; however, Phair ultimately decided to release "Polyester Bride" instead.[1]
"At the beginning of 1999, promotional posters and magazine ads started to promote it as the second single, but the album was starting to lose steam at this point, despite Phair’s consistent touring. Plans for a retail release were ultimately scrapped.
A promotional single for “Johnny Feelgood” was released around this time and sent out to radio stations and media publications. It contains only two tracks: a radio edit and the album version of the song".[2]
