Jeremy John Dunton (born April 1974) know my his pen name Jeremy John, is a Canadian short story writer and former broadcaster.

John has been referred as the sixty-second most famous person from Brantford, Ontario as well as the “Stuart McLean of a new generation” having published two collections of short stories through Dundurn Press.

His first book was a collection of short stories titled Robert’s Hill (or The Time I Pooped My Snowsuit) and Other Christmas Stories..^[1] Released in November of 2021 it is described as “Humorous and heartfelt, this collection of irreverent Christmas tales reflects on the best things about the holiday: family, tradition, binge drinking, pigeons, divorce, and poop”^[2].

His second collection of short stories was titled The Strange Grave of Mikey Dunbar and Other Stories to Make You Poop Your Pants.^[3] It is described as “A creepy collection of spooky short stories perfect for reading out loud any time you want the fun of a good fright”^[4]

John has become known for his live readings of his stories. He is a frequent guest literary festivals^[5], classrooms, libraries^[6], bookstores and special events ^[7]. His readings have also become a recurring feature on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CBCS-FM CBC radio - Sudbury, having shared stories from both books as well as an unpublished work^[8]
