Jeffry Calu (ˈʤɛfri CALU), Born Jeffry Gustavo Garita Brenes (january 17th 2002, Turrialba, Costa Rica[1]), is an actor, director, and playwright. They`re better known for portraing Shakespeare`s Macbeth, El Novio, in Federico García Lorca`s Así que pasen cinco años (Dir. Fabrizzio Vallecillo), as well as various characters in the 2023 Teatro Universitario`s production of Machinal by Sophie Treadwell[2]. They have been an alumni of the University of Costa Rica since 2021, when they started their major in Theatre[3].
