Jeanne Augier is a famous hotelier, also known as the previous owner of Negresco Hotel, was born 27th March 1923. [1]
Jeanne Augier was based in the French Riviera and inherited Negresco Hotel in 1957 from her father. Growing up she saw her dad and mum maintain Negresco Hotel, in Nice France.[2]
Augier dedicated her life to the Negresco hotel and spent plenty of time designing the hotel to her taste. Negresco Hotel attracted many famous celebrities and businessmen such as Bill Gates.[3]
Apparently Bill gates wanted to buy Negresco Hotel, but Jeanne Augier declined the offer.[4]
The Negresco hotel was named after her dad, Henri Negresco, whom was the founder and he opened the hotel in 1913.[5]
The Negresco hotel has an array of art collections and interesting furnishings.[6] Whilst Jeanne Augier was alive she collected more than 6000 artworks, such as paintings by Dali, Rigaud and Boucher. [7]
Jeanne Augier had a distinctive style in interior and fashion. Augier was known for her auburn hair, bright lipstick and bright clothing. [8]
Furthermore, Jeanne Augier had an international reputation for her talent in decorating, she collaborated in designing interiors for the famous hotel Beverly Wilshire Los Angeles.[9]
Moreover, Jeanne Augier was a lover of Animals, she told Le Figaro.[10] When she was a child she was given a Pomeranian for Christmas because she was the only child.[11]
Nethertheless, Jeanne Augier got involved in many good deeds for animal refuge and campaigns against animal cruelty. [12]

In 2009, it is reported Augier bequeathed the Negresco to a fund, with the intention of protecting her hotel and the rights of her staff.[14]
Jeanne Augier had no heir, therefore she bequeathed her inheritance property portfolio in Paris, Nice and Grasse said to be worth more than €100m to the Mesange-Augier-Negresco foundation. [15]
