James Friedhoff began his career in the film industry over a decade ago. He has produced three full-length feature films to date. His first film, “The Spider’s Web: Arch Defiance,” is a 1 hour and 1 minute adventure film released in 2016, with filming wrapping in late 2014. [1] The film follows the story of teen geniuses Harrison and Malcolm, who are hijacked in Africa by mercenaries trying to force them to find the ultimate bio-weapon. This film, like his second, was a zero-budget production, which Friedhoff used as a way of gaining real-life experience in the film industry since he had no formal schooling.

Friedhoff’s second film, “The Riddle of the Spider’s Web,” is an action film released in 2019. This sequel follows the Scotts, who are confronted with their past and Harrison with his future when they visit a Caribbean island that is being ripped apart by mysterious earthquakes. [2] Like his first film, this was also a zero-budget production.

His third film, “The Private Eye,” is a comedy, mystery, romance released in 2024. The film, which runs for 1 hour and 55 minutes, follows the life of private eye Mort Madison, whose life is spiraling downward until a beguiling, slightly familiar woman hires him for his most unusual case. “The Private Eye” was Friedhoff’s first film with a budget and featured big names such as Matt Rife, Eric Roberts, and Denzel Whitaker.[3]

In addition to his film production work, Friedhoff co-founded ‘The CinemaCraft Workshop’ in Glendale, Ohio. This film workshop is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of filmmakers, providing them with industry-standard training and real-world experience.
